Community Involvement

Family and community values play a huge part in Haeger Orthodontics’ support of local youth activities. In addition to the popular Pizza/Dental Day parties, kids’ sports sponsorships and a college scholarship program, Dr. Haeger donates eight perfect smiles each year through the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation. He enjoys contributing his own time and the materials necessary to give underserved children and teens in the community the gift of a beautiful smile.

Haeger Orthodontics has sponsored up to six teams a year at Kent Parks for over twenty years. The smiles on the players’ faces are the best reward for this community support.

Kid’s Pizza Parties/Education Programs

Do you know some grade school students who would love to earn a Haeger Orthodontics’ Pizza Party and some dental education too?

We are always looking for teachers and parents to spread the word about our Pizza Parties to their local elementary school. Here’s the scoop:

  • Have your class do artwork and decorate our office – we need decorations for every season!
  • Let us know what kind of art your class would like to create, and we will bring a pizza party to your class
  • During the pizza party, Dr. Haeger will give a fun dental talk – and each student will receive a “Healthy Teeth Package”

Kids’ Sports Sponsorship

Chances are, Haeger Orthodontics has sponsored one of your children’s or neighbor’s kids’ sports teams. Each year, we provide equipment, financial support and even donate prizes (such as Mariners tickets) to sports teams throughout the South King County area.

College Scholarship Program

As a way to emphasize education and reward our patients for their achievements in high school, Haeger Orthodontics awards scholarships to selected graduating seniors each spring.

“Education was my ticket to getting where I am today. So, if there is any way I can assist others to achieve their dreams, I would like to help,” says Dr. Haeger.

Current or previous patients and their family members are eligible to apply (an e-mail notification will be sent to current and former patients when applications are being accepted). All completed applications received by the deadline are considered. The selection process is completely objective, as each application is number-coded and the name and school information is removed. Dr. Haeger personally reviews and selects recipients on a point based system.
