Orthodontic Treatments
For Patients
Starting orthodontics at the right time makes treatment easier, faster, and maximizes the number of treatment options. Dr. Haeger recommends bringing your child in between the ages of 8 and 10 to track development and determine if early treatment is required.
94% of children will not require Phase 1 Early Interceptive Treatment, but when necessary, it’s crucial that the 6% get treated in a timely manner. If your child is better treated at an older age, Dr. Haeger will follow their case and provide treatment at the best possible time.
Through decades of research and experience, Dr. Haeger has treated tens of thousands of patients in a single phase instead of two, which gets your kids in and out of braces more quickly, and saves you time, money and avoids more complex procedures down the road.
All you have to do is bring your child in early for an appointment and Dr. Haeger will take care of the rest.
Straightening your child’s teeth is easier than ever at Haeger Orthodontics. With wooden nickel rewards, a kid-friendly atmosphere, and an experienced, friendly team, your child will have a blast throughout the whole process.
Some orthodontic problems are better corrected early. Only about 6% of the children we see require Phase 1 treatment. But if your child does require it, it’s critical to intervene to avoid complex issues that can become untreatable.
Your teen doesn’t want to take their yearbook picture with bulky metal braces. Help them feel confident, during and after treatment, with Invisalign. Invisalign is a popular, discreet option for comfortably straightening smiles. And since Dr. Haeger is Invisalign-certified, you know your child is getting the best results.
Your child deserves to love their smile. For children with alignment issues like tooth crowding, gapped teeth, overbites, underbites, and crooked teeth, braces are the tried and true method of treatment.
Depending on their age, it can be difficult for children to maintain healthy habits while wearing braces. That’s why we incentivize the process with sweet rewards including movie tickets, concert passes, sports tickets, and gift cards to their favorite spots!
As an expert in treating kids of all ages, Dr. Haeger specializes in boosting treatment efficiencies to minimize the time spent wearing braces. This means your child will get the best outcome in the shortest amount of time — all while having a blast in our family-friendly office. With abundant smiles, cheerful laughter, and compassionate care from our board-certified orthodontist and team, your child will soon have a smile that makes them feel confident.
In some situations, the sooner you get treatment for your child, the better the outcome. Only about 6% of the children we see require Phase 1 treatment. But if your child does require it, it’s critical to intervene to avoid complex issues that can become untreatable.
Dr. Haeger has pioneered research for Phase 1 treatment and recommends bringing your child to our practice between the ages of 8 and 10. He will assess if they require Phase 1 treatment, determine the best time to start, and allow your child to grow into a healthy, happy smile.
Your teen deserves to feel their best. That’s why Dr. Haeger highly recommends Invisalign for those looking for a discreet, comfortable treatment that provides remarkable results.
No tightening wires or uncomfortable brackets. Your child will look and feel great the entire process. And since the aligners are nearly invisible, you’ll be able to see your child’s smile blossom right before your eyes. Not to mention, they can keep eating all their favorite foods.
As an invisalign-certified provider, Dr. Haeger expertly considers the “whole picture.” By taking into account your child’s unique jaw and mouth structure, your child’s smile will look great, and function even better. Beautiful results may even convince you to consider Invisalign for yourself!
Typically, to be a candidate for orthodontics it’s important to be in good oral health. We will consult with your child’s general dentist and perform an exam before we begin discussing their treatment options.
After your child’s mouth adapts to braces, you will be happy to learn that only about half of the adjustment appointments lead to any discomfort. More good news – adjustment discomfort usually only lasts a couple of days. We like to think of it this way: half of your child’s visits will be basically pain-free!
Braces and Invisalign are different in that braces utilize wires and brackets, and Invisalign is a clear aligner that uses SmartTrack material. With Invisalign, you get more discretion and don’t have to change your diet. However, sometimes braces are needed for severe orthodontic problems.
Wires and brackets can become loose in the mouth and cause irritation. If this is the case, we recommend contacting our team as soon as possible during business hours. However, fallen teeth or a tooth that becomes loose are orthodontic emergencies and you should call us immediately.
Want a straighter smile? We are thrilled to welcome you to the Haeger community.
